Trumpet
Background:

Andy was introduced to the trumpet like many others in elementary school. He joined every musical opportunity he could find: concert bands, marching bands, brass ensembles, orchestras, swing bands and school musicals. In high school, he was invited to play with his first polka band.  The polka music, friends, musicians and laughter have kept him energized ever since.

Performances:

Before The Maestro’s Men, Andy has enjoyed playing and filling in with bands such as Dick Pillar, Johnny Prytko, Rich Bobinski, Ed Zolkievicz, Patti and the Guys, Ed Skinger, John Jeski, John Demerski, Joe Rogers, Joe Molardo, Bright Sound Express, TKO and Ray Henry.

Recordings:

Maestro’s Men: – It’s All About the Music (2004), Polkas For The Christmas Season Vol 3 (2004), Decade (2006)

Dick Pillar: – Everybody Polka (1997)

Johnny Prytko: – Polka Menu (1986)

Most Memorable Musical Moments:

One of my most memorable musical moments was being a member or the Maestro’s Men as we were honored with the IPA “Favorite Instrumental Group” and performed in Chicago.  Hearing your recordings on the radio is always fun.  Taking it way back, I have fond memories as a teenager performing with a community concert band in the Bahamas, Puerto Rico and the ’82 World’s Fair in Knoxville Tennessee
